His research interests include the graduate labour market, the role of education within work, occupational change, recruitment and selection, and the marketisation of Higher Education. He is the author of Graduate Work: Skills, Credentials, Careers, and Labour Markets (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2017) and Modern Work and the Marketisation of Higher Education (Bristol: Policy Press, 2022).
